VANS Introduces Online Member Benefits

With the launch of VANS’ new website in June 2011 and the launch of the new public VANS Matters newsletter in May 2012, it is becoming increasingly apparent that VANS can create more efficient means for communicating with public audiences about VANS activities and our members about opportunities supporting artists, and the sectors advancement in Nova Scotia.

Recently, VANS started designing a members only access zone on our website which is visible now and will be accessible to our membership by mid-July. This new section will better define member benefits, steps on how to become a member or renew your membership, as well as opportunities for current members to login and access  member only resources in the resource section.

With recent shifts in our ability to monitor and evaluate access to programs and services; the introduction of new member online services will improve VANS administrative capacities and member access, both highlighted as goals in our strategic plan.

Information relevant to raising the public’s awareness and support for the visual arts, like the VV’s exhibition listings and members’ news, have become more publicly accessible recently in the resource section of our website, fitting more appropriately into VANS’ mandate and member promotional services which support the advancement of the visual arts and artists in Nova Scotia.

Visual Arts Nova Scotia is committed to working for the advancement and rights of the visual arts and artists in Nova Scotia. To learn more about VANS, visit https://www.visualarts.ns.ca/about-vans/.
