The 2012 Visual Arts Nova Scotia (VANS) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, June 2nd, was a wonderful day filled with many discussions on the advancement of the visual arts as reviewed in the 2012 Annual Report and through various networking and socializing opportunities made available to VANS members throughout the day.
At the AGM, VANS said their thanks to the VANS staff and the 2011-12 VANS Board of Directors for their dedication, team work and collegiality, spiriting the visual arts in Nova Scotia forward. In particular, thanks was given to outgoing board members Janet Larkman (Past President) and regional representatives Nadine Belliveau (Yarmouth, La Baie Sainte Marie), Janice Guinan (Cumberland, Colchester and East Hants) who all passionately served the organization, contributing to our shared dynamic 36-year legacy advancing the visual arts and artists in Nova Scotia.

Our current board of directors is comprised of practicing visual artists who have a range of experience working in the visual arts sector, bringing a variety of professional skills to the organization.
