Visual Arts Nova Scotia and the Hub are excited to launch the 4th edition of VANS in the Hub at The Hub Gallery.
The exhibition is on public view from July 4 until August 30, 2012. VANS in the Hub features diverse large-scale works by Nova Scotian visual artists: Chris Brobeck, Pat Louks, Therese Bombardier, Margarita Fainshtein, Randy Engelberg and Susan Malmstrom.
Works displayed range from photography and drawings to painting and textiles, several of which consider the passage of time and impermanence. This exhibition by VANS members examines the transient aspects of life in the context of the Hub as a dynamic and ever changing work environment. The Hub serves as an ideal VANS exhibition space with its vibrant minimalism, classic design elements, and collaborative spirit.
The Hub is a work-inspired office space located at 1673 Barrington Street on the second floor in Halifax, NS. The Hub is open Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 6pm. For more information regarding the Hub, please visit http://thehubhalifax.ca/.
Visual Arts Nova Scotia is a provincial non-profit arts organization which works towards the advancement of visual artists and the visual arts in Nova Scotia.
