Biserka Turcic

Born in Zagreb, Croatia, Biserka Turcic immigrated with her family to Lake Huron in southern ontario at the age of four. She graduated from York University in Toronto in 1983 with an honours BFA. The next 4 1/2 years she lived in West Berlin where she studied at the Hochschule der Kunste and travelled extensively across Europe. In 1987 she returned to Ontario. In September of 2006 she reopened her studio and is currently working on her abstract monotype series between us. Her work has been exhibited in Germany, the US, and across Canada. She draws her inspirations from the land and sea and the everchanging fluxes acting upon form and colour.
