artist statement
“In wildness is the preservation of the world.”
- Henry David Thoreau
I see photography as a means of exploration and discovery. This coupled with my fascination and love of the natural landscape compels me to create images that try to convey this raw, natural beauty. I prefer the use of black and white photography as the absence of colour allows the texture, shading and graphic position of the subject matter to become more readily visible to the viewer. My goal is to share and celebrate the natural beauty of this province with others.
