Artist Statement

My art work deals in the themes of abjection, repulsion and desire; and in the tactile aspects of film and paint.

Selected Biography

Originally trained as a printmaker, Morse currently practices experimental film animation, and painting. Morse’s films have screened in festivals and galleries in North and South America, and Europe. She has made commissioned work for MTV Networks and the Toronto Animated Image Society. In 2004 her film Pustlations won the NFB Award for Best Emerging Canadian Film or Video Maker, at the Images Festival, Toronto. Years ago she left the wilds of Nova Scotia’s South Shore for the dim lights of Halifax, where she still resides.
