artist statement

I produce collage or assemblage works using a wide range of found and manufactured materials to create a three dimensional surface. My work tends to bring together elements of imagery, expressing my understanding of a particular situation or event. I like to combine representation and abstraction with a whimsical approach. This representation frequently takes a narrative, story-like form. Sometimes, more than one piece or technique will be required to complete the narrative.
