Jay LeBlanc is an emerging artist living along the shore of St. Mary’s Bay in southwest Nova Scotia. Her work is eclectic in media, technique, size and format. Her art practice is one of abstract exploration done with a sense of serious play. Works are created intuitively- more from a “sensation” of a material being the correct one to use in the moment, than from following any plan. Her methodology has been directly influenced by recovery from environmental illness, Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, her immediate landscape and community, and a year at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
