Artist Statement
I believe that as artists we have a unique way of capturing and communicating our heritage and culture to others now and in the future. I enjoy doing commissions and hope that I can create that heirloom piece. To me painting is very much a spiritual experience in that as I paint I thank God for the people, creatures, things and places I get the privilege to capture in such a way. We have been abundantly blessed with such beauty in Nova Scotia and to embrace the belief that God loves all of His creation only enriches my appreciation for all aspects of life. There is just so much in this world for us to discover and enjoy and life is but a vapour and foretaste of what is to come.
