artist statement
I am interested in expressing impressions from nature and my inner creative journey primarily in porcelain but also in watercolour and acrylics.
selected biography
Carol Smeraldo has been a professional artist since 1972. She attended Rhode Island School of Design, Massachusetts College of Art and Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She received the first Nova Scotia Cultural Life Award and has been active in many arts organizations. Her work is included in the collections of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Mount St. Vincent University Art Gallery and numerous private collections. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Canada and the USA.
